Add-on modules
Add them to any plan.
Add a module and it joins your existing subscription — one combined charge on one renewal date, with the remainder of the current period prorated when you buy. Monthly or annual is settled by whichever you chose first: a module joining a subscription that already renews annually renews annually too, because one subscription cannot bill on two clocks. Each module is cancellable on its own any time from your Account page, and each includes 400 extra AI credits a month.
If a renewal ever fails, Stripe retries the charge for about two weeks. If it still hasn't gone through by then the subscription ends and the account moves to Free — nothing is deleted, and the records made in a paid module wait there for it to come back. A card declined while you are CHANGING plan is different and simpler: the whole change is refused rather than half-applied, so nothing moves and nothing is charged.
Referred by another firm? You get 10% off your first 90 days. On a paid plan yourself? From November 1, 2026 you can refer a firm and earn 20% of what it pays for its first 12 months, as credit on your own TRACE bill — see the Terms, section 16.
Don't need the rest of TRACE?
Certification Testing, Tool Control, Safety, People, Project Management, QMS, Clients and Ledger are each sold as a product in their own right. Sign up for just that module — no plan, no other subscription — and it's the whole app you see. Add the full platform whenever you're ready, and nothing you've recorded moves or gets rebuilt. A single-module account doesn't include Code Watch, Task Boards or Community — those come with the core compliance plans.

Import your files, Technician Portal, AI Assist and Mobile App aren't add-ons — they come with every plan, including Free. Code Watch, Task Boards and Community aren't add-ons either: they come with the core compliance plans — Free, Plus, Pro and Enterprise — at no extra cost, but not with a single-module account bought on its own. The client portal is included from Plus up. See all features.
Your clients don't pay to use your portal. A customer you inspect for, and a client whose NDT program you run, sign in free under your plan. A client that wants to run its own program in TRACE gets its own workspace and subscribes to it at these same prices — and can keep you on as its Level III.
The TRACE API comes with Plus, Pro and Enterprise. Your firm's primary contact makes keys that let another program read your records, and keep the modules you keep elsewhere in step with TRACE. Neither a Free account nor an account that has bought a single module on its own can make one, and a firm that moves off Plus, Pro or Enterprise keeps its keys without their working until it is on one of those again. Run past your monthly AI credits and there are two ways to carry on, both from your Account page. A one-off AI credit pack is $19.99 for 200 credits that never expire. The AI credit boost is $29.99/mo and adds 400 credits to every month's allowance. Neither is required — the plan's own credits reset on the 1st whether you top up or not.
