What TRACE is

What is TRACE?

Compliance-tracking software built for NDT consultancies. It tracks every technician, certification, and compliance item against the standards your clients run on — NAS410, SNT-TC-1A, ASME, ABS, NAVSEA, CP-189, Nuclear, and Nadcap — so nothing expires unnoticed and you're ready when an auditor calls.

Who is it for?

Solo NDT consultants up through multi-consultant firms managing a portfolio of client companies. Your clients get their own portal logins to see their compliance status and documents, and technicians get a personal dashboard and mobile app for their own certs, due dates, and timesheets.

Can I see it before committing?

Yes — ask us for access to the demo workspace, a fully worked example consultancy you can browse end to end. It's read-only, so nothing you click can break it.

Can my clients use it too?

That's the point. Every client company can have portal logins — scoped to their own records only — and you choose per client which of your modules their portal shows. It's also how you deliver the procedures and forms you write for them: upload once, and they appear in the client's own document register.

Plans & pricing

What do the plans cost?

Free covers one consultant tracking their own company. Plus ($9.99/mo) adds up to 10 client companies and portal logins. Pro ($49.99/mo) grows to 3 consultant seats and 25 client companies. Enterprise is custom. Annual billing gets you two months free.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 30 days of Pro with every paid module switched on, no card required. If it ends without a paid plan, you land on Free automatically and your data stays untouched.

Can I buy just one module?

Yes. Certification Testing, Tool Control, Ledger, Safety, HR Records, QMS (Nadcap tracking included), CRM, and Project Management each sell standalone, bundled with the registries they can't work without. Upgrading to a full plan later unlocks everything in place — same account, nothing to migrate.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from your Account page. Downgrading keeps what you've paid for through the end of the period, and cancelling never deletes your data.

Day to day

How does the tracking actually work?

Certifications and compliance items carry their own due dates, and everything with a date lands on one compliance calendar with email digests and in-app reminders. Exam scores, OJT hours, vision exams, written-practice citations, and who certified whom are all part of the record — the questions an auditor asks are the fields on the page.

Can it handle certs from outside bodies like ASNT or AWS?

Yes — third-party certifications (ASNT, AWS, API, ISO, …) are tracked alongside the ones you issue under your own written practice, each with the issuing body's certificate number and printed expiry.

How do documents work?

Every file lives against the company, technician, or certification it belongs to, with inline preview for PDFs, images, and Word files. Program documents — written practice, procedures, forms — file themselves into a code/revision/date register per company, which is the view an auditor asks for.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes, for technicians — their certifications, due dates, assigned jobs, and timesheets (including marking hours as on-the-job training) from their phone. Consultants run the full app in the browser.

Your data

How is my data protected?

Every consultancy's data is isolated at the database layer — row-level security, not application filters — and client portals see only their own company through the same enforcement. That isolation holds against TRACE's own staff too: your records open to us only during a time-boxed support window, recorded in your own audit trail. Data lives encrypted at rest in US regions, with nightly restore-verified backups. The full write-up is on our Security page.

Is it mine?

Yes. Your records and documents are yours; cancelling never deletes them out from under you, and we'll help you take them with you if you leave.
