Included with every plan and module
Bring your existing program in, in an afternoon.
Point TRACE at the folder where your program already lives — technician records, your quality program, your written practice, your procedures, your calibration certificates — and it sorts what it finds. You correct the sort, then everything is filed for you as drafts, with a log you can come back to.
Who it's forThe Level III or quality manager switching to TRACE with years of PDFs and Word files in shared folders, who would rather sort them once than upload them one at a time.
What it does
Import your files, in detail.
Point it at a folder
Choose the folder where your program already lives, subfolders and all.
It sorts, and says why
Technician records, written practice, procedures, forms and calibration certificates, each file with a one-sentence reason.
Matches people by name
Files are matched to the technicians already in TRACE, and nothing new is created until you press Import.
You correct it before anything moves
Every group is a list you can edit, and anything TRACE is unsure of starts unticked.
Nothing is approved for you
Procedures arrive as drafts, and no certification is ever created from a file. Approving is still your signature.
Read in your browser, kept private
Sorting happens on your computer, nothing uploads until you press Import, and imported files stay with your staff until you release them.
How it works
Day to day.
- 1
Choose the folder
From Getting started, the Account page or Documents.
- 2
Read the sort and fix it
Move a file, pick the person, untick what you don't want.
- 3
Import
Files go in with a progress bar, and you can pause and carry on later.
- 4
Confirm and approve
Check each person's records and approve the drafts that are right.
It sorts by names, folders and the first page, so it will get some wrong
TRACE guesses from how files are named and filed and from their first page of text, and it doesn't read scanned images, which is why every file is reviewed before it moves. It brings in your files, not your records.
Named for reference. TRACE is an independent product: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or accredited by Microsoft, or by any other organization whose standards, programs or products it works with. Their names and marks are their own, used to say what TRACE helps you track.
