Account deletion

How to delete your TRACE account

This page is for anyone with a login to TRACE or the TRACE NDT phone app, both run by NDT LLC. It says how to ask us to delete your account, what we delete, and what we have to keep and why.

Effective October 10, 2026

How to ask

  1. Email support@tracendt.com from the email address you sign in to TRACE with, with the subject “Delete my TRACE account”. Say which firm you work with, if you know. You can also write to us by post at the address below.
  2. We reply to that address to confirm the request came from you. We do not act on a request we cannot tie to the account, so nobody can have your account deleted by asking in your name.
  3. We delete the account, or deactivate it where the next section says we must, and email you when it is done, saying which of the two we did and what was kept.

By post: NDT LLC, 304 S. Jones Blvd # 6256, Las Vegas, NV 89107.

You do not need the app installed to ask. Deleting the app from your phone removes what it kept on the phone, but does not delete your account. If your firm's TRACE primary user asks for a colleague's login to be removed, we handle it the same way; inside the firm, the primary user can also switch a login Inactive from Your Team at any time.

What we delete

  • Your login: you can no longer sign in to TRACE, on the website or in the TRACE NDT app.
  • Your profile and personal settings, and your membership of every firm you belonged to.
  • The notification tokens for your phones, so no more notifications are sent.
  • A mailbox you connected to send from: TRACE deletes its stored permission and, for Gmail, tells Google to cancel it.

What we keep, and why

Records your firm keeps about your work. Certifications, training, vision exams, dose records, signed reports, verified hours and the like are your employer's compliance records, not part of your login, and many of them are records an NDT firm is required to keep under its written practice, its customers' contracts or radiation-safety regulations. Deleting your login does not delete them; they stay with your firm for as long as your firm keeps its TRACE workspace, and are deleted when the firm's workspace is. Ask your firm about them: it is the one that decides what it must keep.

A login credited on signed or approved work is deactivated, not deleted. If your login approved, signed, verified or acknowledged something — an approved written practice, a verified time entry, a reviewed dose record, a document acknowledgment, a corrective action — or uploaded a document or logged time, erasing it would leave a signature with nobody behind it. So we set the login Inactive instead: it can never sign in again, and your name and email address stay on it so the record of who signed stays true. It is deleted along with your firm's workspace.

TRACE's own record of you as a customer. If you were a consultant at a firm that uses TRACE, TRACE keeps its own customer record of you — your name, email address and phone number, filed with your firm's name — to manage the relationship with your firm. Deleting your login does not delete it: it is kept, marked as a former customer with the date. Ask support@tracendt.com and we will remove your contact details from it, and they are not added back.

Things that were never inside your account. A content-free note that the account existed and was deleted, with when and by whom (and, for a firm that cancelled, when its read-only window ran); anything you posted in Community, which stays under the name you posted it with; a count of AI requests with you and your firm stripped off it; and the messages you sent us, which are our correspondence with you. Ask and we will delete your messages to us too.

Backups, for a limited time. We do not edit backups, so copies of deleted data age out on their own: within 7 days from our database provider's daily backups, within 35 days from our nightly offsite backups, and within 12 months from the one offsite backup we keep for each month. Nothing is restored from a backup except to bring the service back after a failure.

Deleting a whole firm

If your firm cancels TRACE from its Account page, its workspace keeps working to the end of the period already paid for, is then read-only for 30 days so you can download or export what you need, and is then deleted automatically: its records, stored files, change history and record of who opened which document. The primary user can undo the cancellation until then, or ask us the same way to delete it sooner or export it for them first. The logins of people who also work for another firm, and the client and technician logins of the companies you advised, are those people's own accounts and are not deleted with it. TRACE's own customer record of the firm — its name, plan and signup date, and its consultants' names, email addresses and phone numbers — is kept, marked as a former customer; anyone can ask us to remove their own contact details from it.
